What this site is
Valley Water Damage Help does two things. It publishes plain-language information about water damage and mold for homeowners in Phoenix, Paradise Valley and the East and West Valley. And it runs a phone line that connects callers with independent local water damage restoration and mold remediation providers.
We are not a restoration company. We don’t send technicians, give estimates, schedule jobs or file insurance claims. Those conversations happen directly between you and the provider you speak with.
Who it’s for
This site is for homeowners in the Phoenix Valley dealing with a new water or mold problem in a house they own: a burst pipe, a slab leak, a water heater that gave out, a roof leak after a monsoon storm, a sewage backup, or mold found after a leak.
If you rent, your landlord or property manager is usually the one who arranges repairs, so contact them first.
How the phone line works
The number on this site is a call tracking number. Your call is routed to an independent provider that serves the area you’re calling about. Which provider answers depends on who is taking part in your location and who is available at that moment, so it can differ from one call to the next.
Calls to the number on this site may be recorded to check call quality. Our Privacy Policy explains what that means.
Same-day and 24/7 help depends on provider participation, your location, technician availability and demand. We can’t promise that a provider will be available at a given time.
What we don’t do
- We don’t perform restoration, mold remediation, plumbing, roofing or any other work.
- We don’t recommend, rank or endorse any provider.
- We don’t verify any provider’s license, insurance or workmanship, and we don’t stand behind their work.
- We don’t give legal, insurance, financial or medical advice. Our guides are general information.
Before you hire anyone
A few minutes of checking protects you and your house:
- License. Ask for the contractor’s Arizona license number and look it up with the Arizona Registrar of Contractors. The lookup shows whether the license is active and what type of work it covers.
- Insurance. Ask for proof of liability insurance.
- Paperwork. Get the scope of work and the price in writing before anything starts, and read it before you sign.
- Documentation. Ask how they’ll record moisture readings, photos and removed materials. Your insurance company may ask for them.
- Your insurer. If you plan to file a claim, you can call your insurance company before you sign anything. They can explain what your policy expects from you.
How we write our pages
Pages on this site are written by the Valley Water Damage Help Editorial Team. When we state a specific fact, such as monsoon season dates or guidance on drying wet materials, we take it from public sources like the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, the National Weather Service, U.S. Census Bureau data and city water departments. The information is general and may not fit your home or your policy exactly.
